Congratulations on your wedding! This must be such an exciting time for you!
And while I’m sure you’re ready to pack your bags and head away on a romantic adventure, I want to make sure you’re prepared for the costs involved.
I know, it’s a bit of a bummer, but when we realistically look at the situation, sometimes it’s better to spend less on the honeymoon so that you can save for your future.
If you’re reading this, you probably already feel that way.
The good news is that there are plenty of fantastic destinations where you and your new husband or wife can travel to that won’t break the bank!
While Hawaii is a top destination in the honeymoon world, many people tend to go straight for the busier and more widely known parts for their trips.
You should consider Honolulu if you’re trying to save money on your Honeymoon.
Honolulu is generally the cheapest destination in the continental U.S. when you take into account airfare. They also have a killer public transportation system which means you won’t have to spend any money on a rental car!
Because they have a range of hotels that are budget friendly but that don’t skip on the romantic views, you’ll be able to plan an excellent getaway for you and your husband.
Niagara On The Lake
What’s that you say? You’ve never heard of this destination? I’m not surprised, but I am excited to share it with you!
Around twenty minutes from Niagara Falls, there is a small town called Niagara on the Lake.
People have even nicknamed it the “loveliest town in Canada”!
Niagara on the Lake has plenty of outdoor cafes and independent shops, so there is always something to see or do.
Many of the buildings are built in the Colonial style, so if you or your love is interested in older architecture, this is the place for you!
Want to avoid the tourist traps? Tulum, Mexico is your ideal location!
Tulum can be found on the Caribbean coast which is near the Mayan ruins!
Wouldn’t that be a cool adventure and make for some beautiful honeymoon pictures?
You can spend some relaxing days on the beach, soaking up the sun with your honey.
If your heart is set on somewhere like Spain, but your wallet is crying out to you, consider going to Travel and Leisure’s 2016 destination of the year!
Portugal is much less expensive than Spain and many of the other European destinations that you may be interested in visiting.
This country doesn’t lack for charm with its fishing villages and old castles.
You’ll also be able to enjoy some beautiful beach retreats!
And if you’re a foodie, you’ll love visiting Portugal due to their booming culinary scene.
Vietnam is a wonderful alternative to the more expensive Thailand.
There is a little something for everyone here and plenty for you to choose from.
If you and your new spouse enjoying hiking together, plan to visit the Valley Of Love in Dalat or take in the fantastic views of Fansipan mountain!
Jamaica is all about all-inclusive resorts, and this is the perfect fit for anyone who is looking to spend less for their honeymoon!
Because there are so many Sandals resorts in the area (which, by the way, you should look into), many other hotels have followed in their footsteps and offer food and drink included in your honeymoon package.
Because you’ll be saving so much money on these types of resorts, you’ll be able to decide if you want to splurge on fun activities such as horseback riding and waterfall climbs.
If you choose Jamaica, you’re sure to have a memorable and romantic honeymoon stay.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly honeymoon experience, any of the options above will not disappoint you!
Which destinations sound like the most fun for you and your love?
Are you interested in discovering Mayan ruins or would you prefer to chill out on the beach all day? The choice is yours!
