Fox 13 LogoDid you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox 13?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about how to effectively use coupons at Walmart! I was in Orlando celebrating my daughter, Annabelle’s, 15th birthday, so Loretta graciously filled in in my absence.Fox 7-13-14

Here is a little more information for you:

  1. Walmart accepts these four types of coupons:
    1. Manufacturer Coupons found in the newspaper inserts (NO COPIES).
    2. Soft Drink Container Caps (when you win a free 20 oz soda on the lid)
    3. Printed Coupons (as long as they have a “scannable” bar code and a specific amount listed)
    4. Competitor Coupons (ONLY if they have a “Sale Price” listed, not simply $1 Off coupons!)
  2. Two Important Notes: One, they do NOT accept Total Dollar Off Coupons, such as the Publix $5/$40 we saw a couple weeks ago, and the Winn Dixie $5/$30.  No coupons off your “total purchase”. Two, they DO allow Overage! So if your coupon value exceeds the sale price, that difference will apply towards your other purchases.
  3. To learn even more about couponing at Walmart, visit our link HERE to learn more details about their coupon policy!

Basically, in my experience, if your savings are more than 50% by using coupons, the cashier will probably call over a manager to verify things. No big deal, just smile and patiently wait…it’s worth the savings!

~Happy Walmart Couponing!
