For those of you on a tight budget, the idea of staying at one of Walt Disney World resorts might sound like a fantasy.

The majority of your vacation cost is going to be the lodging, and out of all your other vacation expenses, this is one of the few areas you have some control over.

Even if you are on a tight budget, you can still stay at one of Disney’s fabulous hotels without breaking the bank!

Here is how you can save on Disney Hotels without taking out a second mortgage to pay for it!

Look For Discounts

You can find discounts on Disney hotels at some different times throughout the year.

The first place I recommend you to look for discounts is the resort discounts page of Disney’s Website. I always look there, then I call Jeffrey Merola who is an authorized Disney Vacation Planner and he can scope out the discounts for you (and yes, his services are FREE!).

Disney closely regulates the discounts they offer, and there is a lot of fraudulent promo codes circulating the internet.

That means your best bet is to go to the source directly and then ask the expert planner what offers they can find for you.

Choose A Value Resort

Disney offers several “value” resorts that give you the same authentic Disney resort experience for much less!

If you want all the benefits of staying on-site without the extra cost, consider choosing one of the “value” resorts. These resorts offer a bus shuttle to all of the parks, and some even have family suites available.

These are the least expensive Value Resorts:

• Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
• Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
• Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

These two hotels are also considered Value Resorts (but they typically cost slightly more than the “All-Star” Resorts):

• Disney’s Pop Century Resort
• Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Besides the cheaper rates, you’ll find all the same resort perks including quick service food, large pools, and Disney themed rooms!  These resorts typically run anywhere from $80-$200 a night which can be much less than the other resorts found at Disney world.

Consider A Package Deal

Depending on your vacation needs, it might make sense to splurge for one of Disney’s “Vacation Packages”.

This usually includes your tickets, sometimes the Disney Dining plan, and your hotel all in one set price.

When you book a package, you’ll often see discounts throughout all of your accommodations, tickets, and more.

This is when I choose to reach out to Jeffrey Merola because he can sift through the details and give me the best option.

A “Package” deal is one of the best ways to guarantee a lower hotel rate.

Travel Off-Season

By now I’m sure you are tired of hearing me talk about traveling off-season, but it can make a difference if you want to stay on-site.

Disney wants people in the parks all year round, and when they have difficulty filling those rooms, they discount them!

Visiting Disney in February will still be just as much fun as going in May, so if you can be flexible with your days, consider going during the off-season to save money on your hotel. Not only will you have a cheaper room, but you won’t have to deal with crowded hotel lobbies or pools during your stay!

Disney hotels are an experience themselves.

Each one has such a unique atmosphere and can make your Disney experience ever more magical.

If your family wants to stay at a Disney hotel, give these tips a try and save thousands on your next trip.
