Thousands of people visit Walt Disney World every single day all year round, and some come across the world just to be right in the heart of Disney.

Each person has their schedule and preferences for their trip, and obviously how you use your precious days at Disney is up to you and your family.

And truth-be-told, no matter how you spend your days it will be magical because Disney makes every effort to pay attention to the details so that you enjoy your family time.

Since I grew up near Disney world and we’ve been annual pass holders for several years now, we go to the park often, so I’ve put together a few tips to make sure you are getting the most from your vacation.

Shoes Will Make Or Break Your Park Experience

One way to make sure you have a terrible Disney World experience is by bringing the wrong shoes.

You will be walking miles throughout the parks, and if you’re not wearing comfortable shoes, it can make your day at the park miserable.

The good news is that you won’t really notice that you have walked several miles in one day. However, at the end of a long day i,f you have worn the wrong shoes, you’ll have severely hurting feet. And that can ruin the rest of your vacation days!

Resist the urge to choose fashion over comfort, and this is no place to break in those new shoes.

Wear something that you would be comfortable wearing, and if you must buy new shoes to go with your outfit, be sure to break them in ahead of time.

Wearing comfortable shoes will make sure you are staying in the park as long as you can, and spending your time on rides instead of taking a break because of your feet.

Get To The Parks Early

There is a saying that the early bird gets the worm, and no phrase is more accurate than at Disney World.

The first people in the park get to walk right onto the rides and will get a head start before everyone else. If you head to the park when it opens, you could ride three or four rides with no wait!

If you are looking for breakfast in the park, you also want to make sure you start early.

Disney has no shortage of food, but if you don’t start early, you’ll be in the midst of a crowded park trying to grab whatever is leftover for breakfast to avoid lines.

Use Guest Services

Most experienced Disney goers don’t bother with guest services at all! This is a huge mistake!

Guest services can be helpful to help you navigate the parks, assist you with any problems you may be having, and even make your stay more magical with a free pin or even just a sticker.

Disney employees are trained to do everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable, so let them!

Go to Guest Services and tell them what you are celebrating. Is it your first visit? Is it your birthday or anniversary? Let them know so they can celebrate with you and give you a FREE pin to commemorate the occasion!

Spend Some Time At Your Resort

If you are staying onsite at Disney, don’t forget about all the impressive amenities your resort has to offer.

After all, you put a lot of time and money into this choice, so make sure you get the most of it!

If you feel like a day at the pool, or just want to enjoy a movie under the stars at your resort, go for it! You’re on vacation, and your resort can still accommodate that!

There a TON of activities going on at your Disney Hotel. Simply ask for a list of activities at the check-in desk.

Make Dining Reservations

The quickest way to end up hungry and out of options is by not making dining reservations. You don’t necessarily need to plan out every meal you eat, but if you plan on eating anywhere that offers table service, you need to make dining reservations.

Reservation times fill up fast; you might call for a reservation months in advance and still not get the time you hoped for. You can make reservations up to 180 days in advance if you are wanting to book a popular restaurant.

We booked our reservations two months before our trip and ended up with a 2:10 pm lunch reservation because that was all that was left. Reservations will make sure you stop and get something to eat, but also ensure you get to dine where you want to.

Your Disney World vacation is about so much more than just the rides and the parks!

There is so much to do in the parks that it’s easy to get caught up in the magic.

Use these tips to get the most out of your Disney vacation really, and remember to take breaks, so you don’t burn out on day one!

Most people will spend a few days at the park, so you don’t want to be too tired for the rest of your trip after just one day at the parks. Take it slow, and take in all the magic!
