Cherry-Chocolate-Chip-Pie

Cherry Chocolate Chip Pie Recipe

Chocolate and cherry are a classic combination, aren’t they? Now you can have them together in a simple, light and fluffy pie. This a great treat for Valentine’s Day or any day! Cherry Chocolate Chip Pie here we come!

Cherry-Chocolate-Chip-Pie-Ingredients

I usually have almost all of these ingredients already in my fridge or pantry. The only ones I needed to buy were the Oreo pie crust and the cherry pie filling.

To get a smooth and fluffy result when you cream the powdered sugar and cream cheese, keep the mixer on a low setting throughout the beating and mixing process.  That also helps to keep the powdered sugar in the bowl instead of sending a cloud of it into your kitchen.

When it’s time to add the whipped topping, pie filling and chocolate chips, use a spatula and gently fold the mixture. Don’t stir it with a spoon. Folding will keep the fluffiness intact.

After spooning the mixture into your pie shell, smooth it out and sprinkle a little {or a lot!} of chocolate chips across the top. Mmmmm…get your forks ready!
