We challenge you to take a new approach to Valentine’s Day this year…
{Husbands…you will earn big romance points for suggesting this!}

My husband and I completed this Love Language Challenge last year.  Even though we have been together very happily for 27 years (5 years dating, 22 years married), we learned a lot about each other during this challenge.  Always, always, always work on strengthening your marriage even if you think all is well.  And, if your marriage is a little challenging right now I encourage you to fight for it with all your might.  The enemy loves attacking marriages.  With God’s help your marriage can be restored and better than you ever imagined.  The key ingredient is Christ.
Here is one of my favorite Bible verses regarding marriages:

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. ~ Ecclesiastes 4:2

  • What is the Love Language Challenge?

A 5 week challenge starting February 14th that helps you show love to your spouse by completing a weekly challenge. Each challenge will be tailored to your spouse’s love language and each week you will be reminded to complete your challenge. Upon fully completing the challenge, you will be entered to win one of several prizes.

  • Who can participate?

Husbands and wives are encouraged to take this challenge.

  • What is the purpose?

The Love Language Challenge is a great way to jump start your heart and marriage by showing love to your spouse in their specific love language. When you speak your spouse’s love language it fills their love tank and will make them feel loved.

  • How do you sign up?

Have an email address? Be sure to sign up at www.lovelanguagechallenge.com to receive the weekly challenges in your inbox. Each Monday for 5 weeks you will receive your weekly challenge through email. Throughout the week you will receive conversation starters from the Love Language Team.

Have an iPhone? Visit the Apple store and download the FREE Love Language Challenge App. Each Monday for 5 weeks you will receive your weekly challenge through push notifications. Throughout the week you will receive conversation starters from the Love Language Team.

Have an Android Phone? Visit the Android Market and download the FREE Love Language Challenge App. Each Monday for 5 weeks you will receive your weekly challenge through push notifications. Throughout the week you will receive conversation starters from the Love Language Team.

  • Don’t know your spouse’s love language?

There are several easy ways to find out the Love Language of your spouse.

If you are using the iPhone or Android app you can input your spouse’s email address to have the assessment sent directly to them. Once they complete the assessment their love language will be sent back to you via email.

If you are not using an app, simply have your spouse visit http://www.5lovelanguages.com/assessments/love/ to take the assessment and ask them to share the results.

Finally, if your spouse can not or is not able to take the assessment consider answering the following questions about your spouse:

    • How does he/she most often express love to others?
    • What does he/she complain about most often?
    • What does he/she request most often?

Though our spouse’s complaints normally irritate us, they are actually giving us valuable information. If a spouse says, “We don’t ever spend any time together,” you may be tempted to say, “What do you mean? We went out to dinner Thursday night.” Such a defensive statement will end the conversation. However, if you respond, “What would you like for us to do?” you will likely get an answer. The complaints of your spouse are the most powerful indicators of the primary love language.

  • What if I miss the February 14th sign up date?

That’s ok! You can join the Love Language Challenge at any time.

So, what do you say?  Are YOU up for the Love Language Challenge?
