I have been couponing about 6 weeks now and find it to be the highlight of my week. It’s so exciting to find match-ups and save lots of money. My 5 year old has been cutting out my printable coupons for me and helps me count the coupons and the products I buy. I’m trying to teach her the value of money and why we use coupons. She asked me today if I could find a coupon on the orange things she wants. After she tried to explain what the orange things were and that they were fruit I realized she was talking about dried apricots. I told her we would see how much they cost. She asked if I found a coupon for them and I said, no. She went into her room and about 5 minutes later brought me a piece of paper, with a rectangle drawn on it, and a small orange circle in the corner. (she drew a coupon for them) and said here mommy, I made a coupon. We took her coupon to the store and found some that were BOGO. Not too bad.
What a amazing way to spend time and to teach your child savings! Thank you for sharing your story with us and so happy that she was able to buy the fruit she wanted to eat and at a great deal!
