Hello Everyone!!
So excited about the new forum, I joined it a couple weeks ago and couldn’t wait for it to take off!!! Thank you Loretta for making this discussion, I feel like it will help those who read it and provide a little bit of encouragement to those just starting out that they to can make it happen!
I like Michelle started TrueCouponing in December of 2010. A Girl from our church posted on Facebook “I know this may sound weird but who would be interested in going to a Couponing workshop with me?” well little did we know that that would be the beginning of our TrueCoupoing life ;0)
I immediately took it and ran! I learned and caught on very fast. When we started out Couponing it was basically just a small group of us, Michelle, myself and maybe 2 others, after that the blessing was not only giving out of our stock but teaching others how to save for their families and blessing others with their overflow as well. I am from Naples Fl (but have lived in Sarasota for about 5-6 years). I have lots of family and friends from that area and since TrueCouponing was unable to go that far south, I started holding small “coupon parties” to inform and teach others how to save as well. My “Naples Group” has grown very large and they to have been able to bless others as well.
I started off spending about 4-5 hours per week gathering my coupons and making my list. As Michelle said, we started before the check boxes were on the website which made the process take a little longer..Thank the Lord for the check boxes ;). I would say that I progressed through the stages rather quick because I understood things pretty easy and attended every workshop I possibly could whether it was with our group of girls or by myself. My first grocery shopping trip I saved more than what I spent (can’t remember the exact dollar amount) but for a Stage 1 Couponer that was a big accomplishment in my mind!! I would probably say that I hit Stage 4 right around the same time as Michelle (probably around Feb. which would have been approx. 2 months after I started.)
I have really enjoyed Couponing and all of the workshops I have attended (probably at least 20 workshops!!) everyone from TrueCouponing does a wonderful job!! Thanks to Kati, James, Loretta, Brian and the rest of the TC Gang! You have no idea how many lives you have blessed!!! You have also been able to be a blessing to those you may not have been able to reach through people like myself and Michelle who have been able to travel “back home” and have been able to spread your truly wonderful TrueCouponing methods…you will never know how much of a “true” blessing you have been!! God Bless You all!
Just a little message to those just starting out “don’t be discouraged! Just remember it is worth going through the beginning stages of Couponing because even a $10 savings after hours of work in the beginning is still savings in your pocket which will grow and grow and grow in to larger savings and become a blessing to others!!!”
