Pork BBQ — Yummy!!

Low and Slow Boston Butt Pork BBQ

Servings: 8

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs boston butt
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce

 

Directions”

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl mix together all dry ingredients.
  3. Taste and see if seasonings need to be adjusted, then set aside.
  4. Line a small roasting pan with foil —  makes clean up easier.
  5. Rub roast all over with brown sugar mixture, then place roast, onto another piece of foil, and wrap tightly.
  6. If needed, use another piece of foil to make sure no liquids come out.
  7. Bake for 4 or 5 hours, then remove foil from top of roast to drain excess liquid.
  8. Turn temp up to 350 degrees.
  9. Top with BBQ Sauce and bake for another 1 1/2 hours.
  10. If roast is getting too dark, cover with foil and continue baking.
