Kelloggs Eggo RecallRECALL: Kellogg’s Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles

Most of my readers are in FL, but as I do, I’m sure you have family outside our state and this recall affects 25 states… so I think it is important news for you. Kellogg’s has issued a recall of 10,000 boxes of Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The company has received no reports of illness to date but is taking this action as part of its commitment to the health and safety of the people who eat its foods.

The company distributed this product to customers and retailers in 25 states (CO, CT, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, VT, WI, WY).
