Did you order your meat from Zaycon Fresh Foods? I have bad news, unfortunately, Zaycon has gone out of business. They are currently filing bankruptcy.
Their Facebook page is gone, website is down, even the phone lines and emails are not being manned.
If you received a text message confirming your food would be delivered this week, SHOW UP TO PICK IT UP! While the drivers were laid off at 5pm on Monday, they are still finishing their routes to drop off food to families (even though they are obviously probably not going to get paid for working anyway).
What If I Have An Outstanding Order?
If you have an outstanding order that is not going to be delivered this week then I suggest you do these two steps:
1.) Look in your email inbox for your “order confirmation” receipt so you can see how you paid for your order.
2.) Contact your bank or PayPal and “open a dispute” to get your money back. This could take up to 100 days, or as quickly as 48 hours.
Here’s what to say to your bank: Explain that you never received the product you paid for from “Zaycon Fresh” and they are not going to fulfill your order because they have filed bankruptcy and they have shut off all ways for customers to contact them. (If needed, you could save the court documents below to submit to your bank as proof.)
I want you to be informed, so you can take action right away and not lose your money.

Even the truck drivers were unaware of what was going on and there is a video circulating Facebook that when someone questioned the driver, at a pickup earlier this week the driver called the “home office” and got a disconnected phone number.
Why Did This Happen?
Apparently, there is also a lawsuit going on, which makes me think the sudden shut down everywhere was “court ordered”.
Here is a link to the Zaycon court documents. Long story short, they have had money problems for a while. Then they got an investor and took his money too. The investor has sued the company. Also, according to the legal docs this isn’t the first time the Zaycon owner filed bankruptcy to get out from under a business.
