Fox 13 LogoDid you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about how to use our blessings to help others.

Here is a little more information for you:

  1. Today is Feed The Bay Sunday – Churches are coming together today with one mission. Stock Food Pantries. Today in church services all across the Bay Area shopping lists are handed out asking people to go buy donatable items that are needed to help support local ministries that feed the hungry in our areas. This is exciting for couponers because we can band together and use our blessings to help others.
  2. Buy One – Give One (BOGO) – Every time you have the opportunity to get items for free, you should do it with the intent to give it away! How does this happen so regularly? The sale price of an item is low enough that the coupon is the SAME PRICE. You pay with a coupon instead of your cash! Right now there are 5 free or cheap items at Walmart!
  3. Send Expired Coupons to the Military – I know this was just covered in a story by Chris Chmura but it has to be said again because it is so easy! The easiest way to start this? Take your P&G (a coupon insert that expires sooner than others). Just cut them out, label as Non-Food and ship to commissary overseas! Then they can use the coupons up to 6 months after they expire!
  4. Give Items You’ll Never Use – Once your coupons come out of your paper…it is now trash to you! (Each paper says the same thing, if you get four, you only need to read one.) Take those newspapers to your local Humane Society or SPCA. They would love to take those papers and shred them for use in animal cages! Trash becomes a treasure!

Basically,  there are many ways that you can use couponing to not only help your family, but to also be a huge blessing to those around you!
