Fox 13 LogoDid you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about those confusing Digital Coupons.

Here is a little more information for you:

  1. Clothes – Thred Up Make money by selling your gently used clothing items! Just fill up one of their bags, send it to them (FREE shipping), and they will pay you 40% of the sales price. The best part? They pay you up front, before your item even sells! Then, if you want more clothing, save between 60% and 80% by purchasing their gently used items online. Right now you can get $15 off your first purchase. Even if you only buy $15 in clothes (so just pay $2.99 shipping)! Check out ThredUP and use code BTS15!
  2. Computer or Handheld Games – We always buy used games! We shop at GameStop and the store guarantees they will work, plus, once you conquer the game, you can trade them back in for another new game! It’s like a cheap lending library. One heads up in the near future….there are going to be TONS of deals on the PlayStation3 related items as PS4 is set to be released in Nov. PS4 will not have backward capability, but older games stored in their cloud service can be streamed. One note about games, they are most expensive in May, November and December. So that is the best time to sell them back, but not buy them.
  3. Cell Phones – Did you know you can get cash for your old (no longer being used) cell phone? Go to the Trade-in Store on Amazon and see what it is worth. I bet it is more than you thought. However, if you have a SmartPhone, don’t ignore the fact that you can disconnect an old phone (say, when you upgrade) and allow your kids to use it over wifi. It becomes a working ipod without the name or price!
  4. Miscellaneous – Amazon will trade virtually everything, besides the typcial Apple items, they will even take your old GPS devices! Camera’s, Calculators, External hard drives, textbooks, music and games. The hook? You get an Amazon gift card in return. And they pay WAY higher than other companies.
And don’t forget the fun “Trade-In” for a dessert when your kids hand over their kids meal toy at Chick-fil-A!
Basically, take a look around your house and see what items you are not using that you could turn into cash or something that you would use!
