Does your laminate floor cleaner work well? The floors throughout my entire house look like wood, but they are actually a laminate. I love them because they are so strong. They don’t show scratches and they are easy to clean.
You know that I am a crazy cat lady and I have 6 cats. Plus 4 kids and a wonderful loving husband. So needless to say our laminate floors were looking a little too shabby for all the hard work we were putting into cleaning them.
I had to find a better laminate floor cleaner that was cheaper than what I was buying it at the stores. I’m not a fan of pricey cleaners.

Ingredients & Supplies:
To make this laminate floor cleaner you might already have a lot of the ingredients on hand.
Here is what you need to make this laminate floor cleaner:
- 2 Cups Distilled Water or Reverse Osmosis Water
- 2 Cups White Vinegar
- 2 Cups Rubbing Alcohol
- 10 Drops Dish Soap
- Spray bottle
A funnel will come in handy transferring the ingredients of your laminate floor cleaner to your spray bottle.
Since there are no essential oils being used in this recipe, a plastic spray bottle will be just fine for this laminate floor cleaner recipe.
You can easily find one at your local dollar store or you might have an extra one on hand.

Directions:
To make this laminate floor cleaner, add all of the ingredients to a spray bottle and swirl to combine. Do not shake.
To clean the floor: Spray the ingredients of the laminate floor cleaner onto the floor and then wipe dry with a clean towel or with a microfiber mop or use a steam mop.

What Does It Cost?
You won’t believe how cheap this cleaner is, the rubbing alcohol is the most expensive part, and that’s an important ingredient because it helps the cleaner evaporate quickly.
- 2 Cups Distilled Water or Reverse Osmosis Water = $0
- 2 Cups White Vinegar = 32¢
- 2 Cups Rubbing Alcohol = $1.26
- 10 Drops Dish Soap = 2¢
Total Cost = $1.60 Per Bottle
Note: This does not cover the cost of the spray bottle or mop to make your laminate floor cleaner.
Also, add 85¢ to your total if you do not have distilled water or reverse osmosis water on hand. That is about how much it costs to purchase a gallon of distilled water from my local grocery store.
Get your laminate floors shining with this great laminate floor cleaner recipe.
It’s so much cheaper than the pricey store-bought cleaners and it’s so easy to make.
