Walgreens Shopping Scenarios
for 11/26 – 11/28!!
To get the biggest savings at Wags, you’ll need to take advantage of their Balance Reward Deals AND Register Reward Deals PLUS use coupons! The Best way to save the MOST is to alternate weekly between Earning BRs and Using those BRs to buy items with RRs. That means instead of multiple transactions each week, you have just one larger transaction either “Earning” the BRs or “Using” the BRs. Here are a few shopping scenarios broken down into separate transactions for this upcoming week to get you started.
- The best way to maximize the Rewards system at Walgreens is to use your BRs to purchase items with RRs. Then turn around and use the RRs to buy items that have BRs.
- Pay Attention: You cannot use BRs to buy additional BR items because they cancel each other out and therefore you would lose your rewards.

TRANSACTION #1
Buy: (1) Colgate Toothpaste, 3.5-6oz, Total Mouthwash, 8.45oz, or Select Toothbrushes @ $3.49 {earn $2.50 RR wyb (2)}
Use: (1) $0.75/1 Colgate Enamel Health Toothpaste printable
OR $0.75/1 Colgate Slim Soft Toothbrush printable
OR $0.75/1 Colgate Mouthwash or Mouth Rinse printable {minus $.75}
Pay: $3.49 (product total) – $.75 (coupon total) = $2.75 OOP
Get back: $2.50 RR
**Remember, add in fillers to use any BRs OR RRs you may already have on hand from last week (which will reduce your OOP).
TRANSACTION #2
Buy: (1) Scunci No Damage Hair Elastics, 18pk @ 2/$3 {earn $3 RR wyb (2)}
Pay: $3 (product total) – $2.50 RRs (from Transaction #1) = $0.50 OOP
EARN: $3 RR
TRANSACTION #3
Buy: (2) Head & Shoulders Shampoo or Conditioner, 13.5-14.2oz @ 2/$10 {earn $4 RR wyb (2)}
Use: (1) $3/2 Head & Shoulders Full Size Products, exp. 11/28/15 (P&G 11/01/15) [12.8-oz.+; Excludes treatments; Limit 4]
Subtotal: $10 (product total) – $3 (coupon total) – $3 (from Transaction #2) = $4 OOP
Get Back: $4 RRs
Transaction #1 = $2.75
Transaction #2 = $.50
Transaction #3 = $4
Total of All Products Before Coupons or RRs would have been $16.49!
Final Price OOP = $7.25! And, you still have $4 RRs to use next week!
