“I just wanted to wish everybody there a very happy new year and to share my latest venture!
I have attached a pic of 39 gift bags my daughters and I put together for a homeless shelter here in Tampa that’s for teens and women whom are pregnant or have recently given birth. The majority of the items that went into the bags were things I have collected over the past several months from couponing! I did 13 “nail care” bags which was nail polish, nail files and polish remover, 13 “body care bags” which were a large bottle of body wash & sponge & 13 “hand care” bags which were a large lotion and a hand sanitizer. I also was able to donate 15 cans of baby formula and baby food, as well as a ton of makeup and other girly accessories for the shelters “good behavior” on-site store. I am sooooooooooo fortunate and feel so blessed that I have acquired this magnificent skill of couponing and that I was actually ABLE to do this for other people!! I can’t even explain into words the joy my daughters & I felt leaving the shelter knowing we ( hopefully) put a smile on 39 faces of struggling women!! This made the hours of shopping, list gathering, clipping and finding creative storage space for everything sooooooooooooooooooo worth while! Ha Ha! I hope to be able to start gathering again for an Easter drop off!
I just wanted to share this with you all….if it wasn’t for True Couponing there is no way I would have ever been able to do anything like this!
I also wanted to give kudos to Bath and Body Works as they donated all of the gift bags & ribbons after I told them what I was doing! I couponed there as well to get all of my hand sanitizer. :o)
