Here is one we are adding this week…
~ From Heidi

Hi Kati & Melisha,

I wanted to share a little Christmas story from last year.  Every year we set aside $50 a month from my husband’s paycheck into a Christmas account so that we could afford Christmas things for four kids.  I was a stay at home mom at the time and last year we were very strapped for cash.  I first learned how to coupon last August and was learning the ropes for CVS and Walgreens.  In November, my middle stepson needed new tires on his car and my husband bought them without me knowing.  When I found out my heart sank and I broke out in tears, they were $500.  We didn’t have that kind of money and so we had to use our Christmas money that I worked so hard to set aside.  I cried knowing we now didn’t have a Christmas and what was so upsetting, our daughter was almost two and I had nothing for her.  At this point, I could care less about gifts for the older kids, as they would understand, but she wouldn’t and it was her first “real” Christmas.  So I decided to buy all the free things from Walgreens and would use the Register Rewards on her Christmas presents.  By Christmas, I was able to have many Christmas gifts under the tree for her and I only spent under $50 out of pocket.  I was happy, last year I literally broke down and thanks to learning how to coupon, I was able to give my daughter some Christmas presents.  I know it’s not what’s under the tree as that’s not the true meaning of Christmas, but for a very young child, they don’t understand that.  I though, learned the true meaning of Christmas as God did come through for us and showed me that couponing does work.  This year, I am a full time employee, and though we are still struggling, I am still couponing and wouldn’t go back to paying full price for things.  We were able to buy a new washer and drier when ours went out a few weeks ago.  Something we couldn’t of afforded if we not couponing.  You guys are true miracle workers.

Thank you for sharing your story and affirming why we do what we do.  Hearing from people like you motivates us like nothing else.  What a blessing to bless others!
Have a Very Blessed & Merry Christmas!
