Today is the day our featured column is in the Tampa Bay Times! You will find it in today, Wednesday's, 1/22 Tampa Bay Times Newspaper inside the front cover of the Taste Section. Today's topic will show you how to Maximize Your Savings through the use of coupons and turn just one hour into $100!
Believe it or not, you CAN take just 1 hour and save $100 – each week! There's no time better than now to maximize your savings for your family! Here's how you can get started:
First, Eliminate preconceived notions. Before I understood the power of coupons, I was hung up on the negatives of couponing: “It takes too much time” and “Coupons are only on junk”. But instead, I found that there are ways to use the coupons that apply to my specific family without sacrificing anything AND saving over $5,000 per year!!!
Second, Acquire Coupons. The two main sources are the Sunday newspaper and printing from home. The trick to saving the most is to get multiples of the same coupon in order to use one on every single item you buy. That means you will need to get multiple Sunday papers!
Third, Get Organized. DO NOT cut any coupons. Instead, file each week's coupons by date, then use the website as a “road map” to point out what coupons you need to utilize.
Fourth, Shop Smart. Only buy products we have pre-identified as Good Deals. They are easy to spot on each store list with our special shopping cart icons. Soon you'll be saving hundreds each and every month! Visit www.TrueCouponing.com/New-to-Couponing-Start-Here/ for a step-by-step guide to get started today!
Hey, want to help us out? Can you think of a topic we can approach in the newspaper? Email your questions to Save(at)TrueCouponing.com and we will answer them in the Tampa Bay Times next month!
Do you get the daily paper? I love my subscription. On Wednesdays…not only do I get a copy of the article to mail my Grandmother, but I get the upcoming Publix Weekly Ad. It's only $26 for the whole year (for Hillsborough county)! Go HERE to check out rates for your area too!
