Walgreens Shopping Trip!!
I've finally got it! I've figured out the trick to save the most using the Walgreens Reward Programs! If you have been following along for the past couple weeks, I have been trying to figure out the best way to spend the least and get the most rewards. Here is what I bought today. It is based on the Shopping Scenarios posted at the bottom of the weekly ad HERE.
This trip took two transactions. Just like I have been suggesting (in the latest Shopping Scenarios) I did my first transaction to EARN BR rewards, then I did the second transaction to EARN RRs and paid by REDEEMing my BRs previously earned. Check it out:

EARNing BRs for next time:
Buy: (4) Alka Seltzer Original Product (for the best deal choose an item priced between $3.99-$5.99) I found lots of the $3.99 priced item, so I bought (4) BOGO50% $3.99 = $11.96 {earn 2,000 BRs wyb any (1) participating Bayer Product = 8,000 BRs}
Buy: (2) BIC Razors there are so many to choose from because you can choose ladies or mens, for the best deal choose something priced between ($3.99 – $6.59) I chose one priced at $6.29 because there was an entire basket full of them PLUS it would be the easeist to use the $3 coupon because the half-priced item would be slightly over $3 (the value of the MQ) BOGO 50% $6.29 = $9.43 {no rewards on this product, I really should have bought it in the next transaction in order to pay using my BRs earned last week.}
Buy: (1) Starbucks Ice Coffee $0.99 {$.99 RR wyb (1)}
Use: (4) $2/1 Alka-Seltzer original or plus product MQs (SS 1/6 #2 or SS 1/27) {minus $8}
Use: (2) $3/1 BIC Disposable Razor from today's SS 3/17 {minus $6}
Use: (1) $1/1 Starbucks Iced Coffee (Tearpad – found in store next to product or @ Customer Svc.) {minus $1} **I did not have this coupon, so my total excludes this extra savings**
Also Used: $1 RR from last weeks Glade Deal
Pay: $22.38 (product total) – $14.00 (coupon total) – $1 RR = $7.38 + $0.73 tax = $8.11 OOP
EARN: 8,000 BRs (approx. $8) and 99¢ Starbucks RR
Final Price: $0.11 for all (7) items plus the 99¢ RR!
**Note: In the original Shopping Scenario post, it was suggested that you buy the Dove products. That would have been less oop, but I coldn't get the $2/1 printable from FB to work. So I opted to scale down the 10,000 BR scenario earn 8,000 BRs instead.

REDEEM BRs previously earned:
Buy: (1) Applied Nutrition Green Tea Fat Burner 40 ct – $7 {earn $7 RR wyb (1)}
Use: (1) $1/1 Applied Nutrition Supplement (Answers at Walgreens Vitamins & Supplements) {minus $1} (find this right in the store on the shelf!)
Subtotal: $7.00 (product total) – $1 (coupon total) = $6.00 Subtotal
Redeem: 5,000 BRs (minus $5)
Pay: $1.00 OOP (no tax)
Get Back: $7 RRs
Final Price: $6 MM after RRs.
**Note: It would have been even LESS oop total if I bought the Starbucks and BIC Razors in this 2nd transaction instead…then I could have used 10,000 BRs to pay instead of $5 of my cash in transaction #1 (the Razors were $3.43 oop and the Starbucks was $0.99).
Bottom Line: $8.11 + $1.00 = $9.11 OOP and have 8,000 BRs and $7.99 RRs for next time! That's like getting paid $6.88 for (8) products!
