Shopping Trip 1-20-14It's Shopping Trip Time!

My hubby, James, decided he was going shopping this morning! It took him about an hour to print everything and cut his coupons. Then he was back home exactly an hour after he left. I didn't have time to get involved in this trip…and we went to the produce stand yesterday, so he only had $60 to spend from our grocery budget. He did pretty good…except it looks like we will be eating a LOT of summer sausage (or using it for a Super Bowl Party).

Here are the details of what he got today at Publix: {You can still get all this stuff through Weds, 1/22 HERE}
(10) Cream Of Wheat $2.99

Used: (10) $1/1 SQs and $.50/1 MQs = $1.49 each = $14.90
(4) El Monterey Flour Tortilla Taquitos BOGO $5.99
Used: (4) $1/1 MQs = $2 each = $7.98
(8) Hefty Disposable Plates BOGO $4.99
Used: (5) $1/2 MQ = $2 each = $15.96
(2) Kayem Hot Dogs 2/$6

Used: (2) $1/1 MQs
= $2 each = $4.00
(8) Vlasic Pickles BOGO $2.85

Used: (4) $1/2 MQ = $.93 each = $7.40
(4) Spring Salad Mix BOGO $3.99

Used: (2) $1.50/2 = $1.25 each = $4.98
(10) Old Wisconsin Summer Sausages $2.99
Used: (10) $1/1 SQs and $1/1 MQs = $0.99 each = $9.90
Grand Grocery Total = $182.82
He asked to split the order into two separate transactions, in order to utilize (2) Winn Dixie $5/$30 Competitor Coupons (from Enjoy the City Books).  minus $10
He was also able to use the Publix $2 off any $2 that came in our paper this week. minus $2
Amount Paid after Coupons = $54.52
(includes $1.40 sales tax)

Final Outcome:
Total # of Items: 46 items        Spent Total OOP: $54.52
Total Saved: $128.30     Savings: 72%
