Origami Owl 1aLorelei Vitulli is no stranger to TrueCouponing. She has been to our workshops and reading our blog for a while and she even won a (Good Earth Meat) contest a few months back. So when she asked if she could bless me with a necklace from her online company, Origami Owl, I was more than happy to provide a review for her in return!

Origami Owl 2Origami Owl is a jewelry company that specializes in home parties and online orders. It was founded by Bella (a name I immediately love because my oldest is Annabelle and goes by the nickname, Bella, too). The intriguing specialty to Origami Owl is that the items are more of a locket style in which you select the charms that go inside, so each piece of jewelry “serves as a reminder of who you are, where you have been, where you are going and the dreams you carry in your heart.” Basically, you can pull from any memory and make a fun, unique piece of jewelery to cherish forever!

A little background about my love of jewelry, I worked in a Mall Jewelry Store (Littman Jewelers) all throughout college. I loved it! I learned all about the 4 C’s to inspecting diamonds and how to tell genuine gemstones from synthetic. So I am a “hard sell” on jewelry. I know what it is worth and how long it is going to last!

  • Origami Owl, while high quality, is efficiently priced and can be worn all the time without the fear of losing and having to mortgage the house to get a replacement. It is not made of 14k but they have used quality products that are going to last as long as the good stuff.
  • They have a great selection, and I found that all items were more reasonably priced than I had anticipated.
  • I chose the Silver Living Locket with crystals. Then I added 3 silver charms and 3 gemstones to the inside. I also added a Heart Dangle to the chain.Origami Owl 4
  • The charms are only around $5 each. I chose a crystal Cross (to signify my love of Jesus), a Sign Language I Love You hand (my family always does this symbol when we leave each other), and Scissors (yes, for CUTTING COUPONS!!! Thank You Lorelei for reminding me about that one…I placed the entire order and didn’t even have that in there!)
  • The package arrived way sooner than I was expecting! That’s always a “plus.”
  • The necklace came in an adorable Chinese Food Take Out-style box, then inside a oriental change purse. My kids (and my Mother) fought over who gets this…I won.
  • The locket is magnetic, so the charms come separately and you just load them into the locket, snap together and string around your neck!
  • I have worn the necklace several times already and received soooo many compliments. I think that is the only “downside” everyone wants to know what your charms mean and why you have them, and the kids shake it and look at them and you play with it around your neck. But, hey, if you wear jewelry at all, then you know there is a chance, someone might like it too and ask you about it, right?

I know you will love this company and all the items it has to offer! Check out Lorelei’s website here! She has even offered to do a Giveaway with us starting this Friday! So check back and see what we have in store for you!

~Thanks Lorelei and Origami Owl!
