Zaycon Foods 40 Pounds of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
A few weeks ago I learned Zaycon Foods was coming to Orlando selling Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts for only $1.49 per pound. That is an amazing price, so I contacted them for more information (because we always like to check out a deal before passing it along to you). They offered to let me try their chicken for free so I could let you all know first hand what I thought.
I have to say I am impressed with Zaycon start to finish!!!
Registering on their website and pacing an order is very easy. They send email confirmations and reminders when it’s time to pick up your products. The pick up location was easy to find and well marked with Zaycon signs. The Zaycon employees were fast, personable and very friendly. You didn’t even have to get out of your car! They load you up like a drive through, then you are on your way.
The chicken was packed in 4 plastic bags inside a larger plastic bag inside a cardboard box with handles on each side. It was pretty easy to maneuver for 40 pounds worth of chicken! A friend of mine bought some chicken, too so we took it all back to my house to repackage it for freezing. The chicken breasts were connected (butterfly style), so we cut them apart and trimmed off any excess fat (there was some trimming to do). You can see in the picture above what 40 pounds of chicken looks like. We got 10 bags with 4 large chicken breast in each bag plus 4 bags of trimmings! (I plan to use the trimmings to make chicken stock!)
Our family has now had several meals of Zaycon chicken, and it is simply delicious! The chicken breasts are much larger than you normally find in stores. I have been extremely pleased with my Zaycon experience, and I’m looking forward to placing my next order with them!
