Did you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox? We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money! This week's topic was all about those confusing Digital Coupons. View the video here:
Here is a little more information for you:
We have all seen them, but how do you know when you should really spend that money in order to save? Are they really going to save you enough to justify the cost?
- The Entertainment Book – The entertainment book has been around for quite a while. And it has good intentions. But at $35 (on sale), how can you be sure to get the most for your money? Call ahead. Call the store where you are going to use the coupon and ask if they accept the coupon. If not, choose another place to go. Always better to play it safe and not get stuck already committed in the store. *Also* after the first of the year, this book will go on sale even cheaper at Drug Stores and once summer comes you can get them for around $5. Best items inside? Restaurants and Movies! You will definitely make back your initial investment on those, but I bet there are a few specific places you already shop at in order to save even more. Check out more about the 2014 Entertainment Book.
- Enjoy the City Books – You may not have heard about this relatively new book. Originally used as a fundraiser for schools which can now be purchased directly from the company with volume discounts. You have to buy these with a group of friends because they sell them in groups of 50 and 100. But, retailing for $20 and on sale for less than $2 per book, you will MORE than make up your money. In fact, there are (4) $5 off $30 Winn Dixie coupons in each book. That's a $20 value for just $2 cost. Right now there is a promotion going on (ends Monday Night) and you can order the books for as low as $1.33 each! Check out the Enjoy the City Coupon Book Deal.
- Support a School – Fundraiser cards are a great way to save! Usually they last all year long, and you can choose the offers that you want. This year I got 12 stickers for BOGO Krispy Kreme donuts as well as Free Food offers for Chick-fil-A! At just $10 they more than make up their price tag with the second use!
- Couponer Booklets (Grocery Stores) – Couponers are probably thinking about the hard-to-find coupon booklets that help reduce weekly spending at grocery stores. And we have a tip for them too. Customer Service. Immediately upon entering the store, go up to the customer service desk and ask if they have any new coupon booklets. They protect them and hand them out from behind the desk. Otherwise, if you get lucky, you will find the booklets in a cardboard display either at the front of the store, or typically in the back of the store near the meat or dairy cases. Check out some recent Coupon Books that have been spotted and we have posted about.
One tip? Keep the books in your car, or right in your purse. That way they are ready to use when you need them! You can save a ton of money, but they won't save you unless you have them along! And they can't be used at home!
