We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money! This week’s topic was all about the Sweetbay clearance, and what to buy (or not to buy) during the month of April!
Here is a little more information for you:
- Sweetbay is Clearing Out – Sweetbay was purchased by Bi-Lo (the Parent company of Winn Dixie) last year and the time has come to convert all the stores over to Winn Dixie’s! Each store will be closed for one week while they renovate the store and convert it over to a Winn Dixie.
- Good Deals on Perishables – NOW is the time to fill your freezer with MEAT! Sweetbay has drastically reduced the price of all perishables departments (Produce, Meat, Deli, Bakery, Floral) to reduce inventory and get ready for the 1 week closure to become Winn Dixie. Here’s the schedule:
- 25% off Sunday and Monday
- 50% off Tuesday and Wednesday
- 75% off Thursday, Friday and Saturday (EARLY closing @ 1:00pm)
- And 50% off Sweetbay Store Brand Items (those have been on sale for a while though, so the shelves are pretty barren already).
At just 25% off, readers are getting Deli Meats and Cheeses for around $1.50/lb! That’s an outstanding price!
- Other Store Items, – The normal Sweetbay sale prices are in effect, so any other items are being sold normally, you can still use coupons as normal.
- Deals After the Switch Over – Make sure you sign up for a Winn Dixie card. All their sale prices are tied to the card. So are their Digital Coupons as well as their program called “FuelPerks” in which you can purchase certain items to reduce the price of your Gasoline! It works too! You can purchase sale items (use coupons on them to get them cheap), then earn credits towards your gas! Regularly I see friends get gas as low as $2 per gallon!And speaking of Deals Going On Right Now! Here’s what you should be looking to buy during the month of April!
- Houses & Tires – Spring is the peak time to buy a house! Many sellers will be listing their homes for sale in hopes of moving during the summer when kids are out of school. Buyers will have their best selection now. Were you aware that April is, among other things, National Car Care month? Look for sales on things like tires, oil changes and more!
- Tax Day FREEbies – Mark your calendars for April 15th! No, not because of the dreaded Tax Day, but because of the FREEbies! All kinds of retailers, online stores and restaurants offer freebies on Tax Day.
- What NOT to Buy: Mattresses and Grills – Memorial Day sales will be the next price dip for mattresses and while the warmer weather may tease you to want to get a new grill, the prices are high in early spring. Wait till June for a better deal! Read more of the entire list of what to buy in April!
