Fox 11-2-14 TVDid you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about what to buy in November (and what NOT to buy ! Black Friday is known to be a Super Deal Day, but you don’t have to wait till the end of this month to shop! There are many deals during those other 29 days of the month as well!

HFox 13 Logoere is a little more information for you:

  1. Wedding Dresses & Supplies: November and December show a decrease in demand for wedding dresses, which brings the prices down to the lowest of the year. Even if your wedding is still months away, get more for your money by shopping for it RIGHT NOW! The Knot is a great online place to find just what you need!
  2. Cookware: With this product, you do not want to wait until the last minute (the day before Thanksgiving) to buy that new serving platter or roaster. All month long you should be able to find low prices on cookware. But you will want to shop early in the month for the best selection!
  3. Televisions: If you are in the market for a new television – this is your month! There are only two good times to purchase a TV: right before Super Bowl, and November. If you want the absolute cheapest TV, wait until Black Friday. But the price of almost every size category of HDTV’s starts dropping near Black Friday. The rock-bottom deals are on off-brands or out-dated models. If you want the latest and greatest, no need to wait for that Black Friday Deal Day!
  4. Wait Until Black Friday: For certain items there is no better day to fight the crowds or shop online than Black Friday. And that is for Laptops and movies! We will have an entire segment dedicated to Black Friday in a couple weeks, but for now, if you can hold off on a Laptop or new movies…just wait!
  5. Do NOT Buy During November: Toys! I know it seems crazy, but if you missed out on the toy clearance this past month in October, then you are just gonna have to wait until December because year after year the price go lower than Black Friday if you can hold out until the second week in December.  Also, do not buy Calendars, Jewelry and Christmas decorations, just give it 30 more days and buy those items next month! The exception may be the daily Amazon Lightning Toy Deals. We post those every morning around 8:30am so you’ll know when the deals for that day will be available.

Basically, sooner or later just about everything goes on sale. Knowing when items are at their lowest prices and buying them before you need them is a shopping technique that can save you hundreds of dollars every year on all kinds of items from groceries to gifts!

~Happy November Shopping!
