Walmart Savings Catcher is here!
A couple of months ago we told you to be on the lookout for a new price comparison tool from Walmart. Well, the Walmart Savings Catcher is now available nationwide!
Savings Catcher is an online tool that automatically compares prices of select products purchased at Walmart with advertised prices of competitors in your area.
Walmart has been testing Savings Catcher since March 2014 in seven US cities – Atlanta, Charlotte, Lexington, Dallas, Huntsville, San Diego and Minneapolis. In the testing phase, Savings Catcher compared prices on products typically purchased at grocery stores including groceries and household items. Excluded from comparisons were online merchants, store brand items, deli products, bakery and weighed items like produce and meat. With the nationwide expansion of this program, they will be expanding the products compared to include general merchandise like TVs, clothing, vegetables and meats.
