Hi TrueCouponing,
Not sure if you remember me, but my twin sister and I were one of the few couponers that were impacted by a virus about 8-9 months ago. We’ve been couponing for close to a year, attended two classes, listened to the radio spots, watched the news reports, and read the Overflow magazine! Needless to say, we love TrueCouponing!
My purpose for writing is to share a neat way for the couponers to use their ‘overflow’ items.
My son’s daycare, utilizes their youth department to prepare gallon-sized storage bags with items to give to the homeless with a note included that provides the name & location of Christian Social Services along with a scripture. They are given to the members to keep in their vehicles to give to the homeless.
What an awesome idea!
I took it a bit further by including deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner that I’ve gotten for FREE due to my couponing efforts!
My sister and I blogged it about it yesterday & shared your ministry with our followers/subscribers on “Double Portion Inspiration with Renee & Roslyn: Drive By Blessing!“.
If God leads, PLEASE share this “drive by blessing” concept with your subscribers/followers. I truly feel that we can change our nation if this concept is embraced by couponers everywhere. (I actually gave away my first bag today to a lady carrying a sign that said ‘homeless & hungry’).
