I believe kindness is contagious.
So I’ve come up with a MONTH of FREE ideas to spread kindness and make this world a little better. Catch Day 1 here, and Day 2 here. Today’s challenge will take you a little longer than yesterday and require a glue stick and some thought… but the effects will be long lasting, I promise.
DAY 3 Challenge: Encourage Someone With Cute “Open When” Notes
A couple years ago my daughter Annabelle made the MOST special gift for me for my birthday… “Open When” Notes.
These are little hand written notes tucked inside an envelope that has “open when” on the front. For example, “Open When….” you need a good laugh (and then you include a joke or funny story on the note inside). Or, “Open When…” You Need A Pep Talk.

Here’s how to use them:
Step 1: Print my FREE Download of Open When Notes and cut them out.
Step 2: Glue the “Open When” card to the outside of an envelope. {these fit perfectly and have next-day FREE shipping!}
Step 3: Write your note of encouragement on matching card from the FREE Download and tuck inside the envelope.
Step 4: Stack & Tie with a nice big bow and give to someone you love.
Last Christmas we made these for my Mom, only we EACH wrote a note and tucked it inside… that meant for each envelope, she had 6 notes inside. She absolutely loved it! And we had so much fun making them and trying to have the best note inside each envelope.
Next year Annabelle will be heading away to college. So I am planning to sneak a pack of these inside something for her to find once we have left her at college. Won’t that be special to find?!
