Feed the Bay

“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”  Matthew 25:35

Feed the Bay is an opportunity for the community and church to come together as one body of Christ and fill the food pantries in the Tampa Bay Area. Their goal is to collect 160,000 pounds of food for the pantries.

What is Feed the Bay?

Feed the Bay is a coordinated community outreach uniting churches throughout the Tampa Bay Area FL counties along with Publix Super Markets, designed to stock the shelves of participating food pantries on Saturday, March 7 & Sunday, March 8, 2015.

When is Feed the Bay?

The best time to shop and drop off items to donate to Feed The Bay is:
Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

How does Feed The Bay work?

1. On Sunday, March 8, participating churches will hand out a Feed-The-Bay grocery list and encourage everyone to leave directly after church and shop at Publix Supermarkets or other stores closest to their home between the hours of 9am – 2pm for the benefit of those in need in our communities

2. After shopping, drop off your purchases to volunteers standing by at trucks located in each of the parking lots of the participating Publix and donation boxes set up at Advanced Auto Parts.  Most Publix stores are located in Hillsborough County (if you don’t see a drop off location near you, please check the Feeding America donation locations and drop off items to a location closest to you).

3. TrueCouponer’s can collect food RIGHT NOW, then take the donations to the drop off trucks at the supermarkets on 3/7 from 6-8pm and Sun 3/8 from 9am – 2pm.
