Did you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox? We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money! This week’s topic was all about how to use the internet not only as a money-saving but also a money-making resource.
Here is a little more information for you:
- Swagbucks – Get paid to search the internet. It sounds crazy right? Well, just replace your regular search engine, such as Google or Bing with Swagbucks and earn virtual bucks that you can turn into real cash. You can redeem the points for gift cards or paypal money. Typical searching will earn you around 10 points and you earn a $5 Giftcard with 450 points. On Fridays they have bonus bucks (when you can earn double and triple points), so you definitely want to search on that day. It takes about 2-3 weeks to earn enough for the $5 Giftcard. Last year with coupons and swagbucks, I redeemed them to get over $100 of clothing (from Old Navy) for less than $5 dollars (view the shopping trip details HERE). - Ebates – Get CASH back for shopping at your favorite online stores. Just set up an account with Ebates and earn a percentage on every online purchase you make. This even works with discount codes you may already have received. If you receive an email with a coupon code for FREE shipping, just go through your Ebates account to do your shopping and earn a percentage on your sale IN ADDITION TO the free shipping! Each quarter they send you a check of your reward earnings (like receiving a cash rebate in the mail). There are some other rewards programs similar to this one! - Plink – Get rewarded for shopping at certain stores. Plink has MASSIVE rewards for going to specific stores and making threshold purchases. For example, shop at this particular clothing store and make a $20 purchase and get $20 back in Giftcards of your choice. You virtually get to shop for FREE. The catch? You have to link up a credit/debit card and select the offers in your account before you shop. But the rewards are HUGE. Way bigger than the typical rewards programs. - Use a Rewards Credit/Debit Card – With any of these other ideas, any time you shop you should be using a card that gives you rewards. Earn free airline miles, or cash back on top of the rewards you earned just for making the purchase. It’s like a stacking bonuses on top of bonuses! Strategy!
Basically, the internet is such a common resource now-a-days, and there are ways to get paid just for USING the World Wide Web!
