Fox 8-24-14Did you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about the many ways you can save the most at Target!

Fox 13 LogoHere is a little more information for you:

  1. Printable Store Coupons: You can find printable coupons on the Target.com website. Some that print will be manufacturer coupons and some will be Target store coupons. The Target coupons can be combined with manufacturer’s coupons for the same item! We call this “Stacking”.
  2. Digital Store Coupons: Target offers Mobile coupons by texting your smart phone each week. Receive up to 5 messages per month with a link to mobile only coupons. These coupons are store coupons only which means they can be used along with Manufacturer coupons, but they cannot be used along with other printable coupons. They offer Grocery Coupons as well as other discounts on clothing and shoes! There are even BONUS mobile coupons available by texting Target individual codes (found on our weekly sales list or in our Coupon Database). Sign up to receive Target Mobile Coupons HERE.
  3. Cartwheel App Discounts: There are also discounts available through the Target Cartwheel App program. These are also a digital “coupon” of sorts because you load specific 5% to 30% off savings to your Cartwheel account and then print out a barcode that is scanned at the register at the store or show the barcode on your smartphone through the Cartwheel app (which is what I usually do to save money on ink and paper). These Cartwheel savings can be combined with store and manufacturer’s coupons for even greater savings. Sign up for Target’s Cartwheel Program HERE.
  4. Red Card: Target also offers a Credit card (or link to your checking account to make it a Debit card) and gives you an additional 5% off the total. Hey, that almost covers tax! Sign up for the Target Red Card HERE!
  5. Save a bonus 5¢: Target will give you a 5¢ credit for each reusable bag you bring in and use. Just tell the cashier how many you have (most of the time they see them and immediately give you credit!

How It Works (the “Triple Stack”): You can use one manufacturer coupon plus one Target store coupon (whether printed or mobile) PLUS one Cartwheel coupon per item. That’s 3 coupons at one time! PLUS, then you can even use the Red Card and save an extra 5% on the total! {maybe we should call this the “Quadruple Stack”?!}

One last way to save at Target: Price Matching! If you find the identical item for less in the following week’s Target weekly ad or within seven days at Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, BabiesRUs.com or in a competitor’s local printed ad, just bring your receipt to customer service and they will credit the difference. If you are know ahead of time that you are going to price match, I would suggest you purchase those items separately at Customer Service to avoid any confusion at the register. ONLY ONE ITEM though…  so if you are buying two blenders, you will get the price match on the first one, not the second. But if you buy a blender and a toaster… they should price match both!

Basically, Target has several different mediums that give us ways to save! Printed Store Coupons, Digital Store Coupons, the Cartwheel App and even additional savings and the Red Card! Shopping at Target can get confusing because they have given us LOADS of potential savings…which is GREAT! Hope this helps!
