Fox 9-21-14Did you catch our Savings Segment this morning on Fox?  We are honored to be a featured on Good Day Tampa Bay each Sunday to share our knowledge about coupons and how to get the most for your money!  This week’s topic was all about 5 things you should never pay for!

HFox 13 Logoere is a little more information for you:

  1. Magazine Subscriptions ~ Ladies Home Journal, Better Homes & Gardens plus “Travel + Leisure” and tons of Website Magazines are all free just for filling out quick 3 question surveys. The trick? You must have patience. They are not always available so you have to wait until the opportunity arises (which does come up regularly and we tell you about right here on TrueCouponing.com). Other Magazines like Family Fun, All You and Bridal Magazine are never free, but we tell you when they are at their absolute lowest price so you would NEVER want to pay full sticker price at the book store!  Here is a post from this past week with some great deals for subscriptions under $5/year! These do expire at the end of today but we’ll post the new ones tomorrow!
  2. Kids Meals ~ Every day of the week there is a restaurant where kids eat free. When we decide to go out to eat, we think…which restaurant has “Kids Eat Free” today? As you go to your favorite restaurants find out what days they offer kids eat free, then note it in a little calendar so you will have it next time! Chili’s and Ruby Tuesday offer them very consistently, just sign up for their email to be alerted! Want to try a new restaurant where Kids Eat Free? Visit MyKidsEatFree.com and look up your town. They list restaurants and show the days. Just make sure to call ahead to verify!
  3. Music ~ If you have some favorite artists or go through cycles of mild obsession with certain albums, then you have FOUR FREE service options to use to listen to free music ~ iTunes, Pandora, Spotify or Amazon Music. It will cost you only if you really hate the commercials (which are not after every single song, just every fourth or so). Not only will these services let you listen to the exact songs you want to hear, but they will also introduce you to new music you never knew you loved. NOTE: make sure you are accessing these apps via wifi for downloading because they can quickly eat up your data plan. Eeek!
  4. Shipping ~ Never Pay for Shipping! It pays to wait a couple extra days (or order with a friend) for those free shipping promotions. Also, look for sign ups for the company’s email newsletters.  Usually with the first email, they will send you a code for free shipping! Do you use Amazon? Make sure to look into Amazon Prime where 2 Day shipping is always free!
  5. Books ~ Digital books are the wave of the future. From current reads to classic literature, several websites allow you to download books for free to your computer, tablet or eReader. Three sites you must check out are…
  • www.ProjectGutenberg.org – over 42,000 free ebooks)
  • www.kobo.com –  has the best books made into movies
  • and the easiest, Amazon.com – sort by the $0 price tag in the books section to download to your Kindle App whether it is on your computer, phone or tablet. FREE Books constantly pop up there. Every book you want eventually receives that $0 price tag. Just search by author or title, and then download to your desktop, laptop or mobile devices, including Kindle, iPad or Nook.
  • Don’t forget the obvious public library option. Libraries have incredibly under-utilized eBooks and Audio book collections. All you need is a library card. You don’t even have to leave your house to bury your nose in a great story!

Basically, there are many items most people pay for that you could otherwise get for FREE! And who doesn’t like FREE?!
