Peppermint Melt-A-Ways

What a cute and festive cookie these Peppermint Melt-A-Ways make!

I admit I am not a peppermint fan just as a stand-alone candy, but I do love peppermint crushed and added to sweet things!

Here’s what you will need to make these minty cookies:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

Frosting:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 to 3 drops red food coloring
  • crushed peppermint candy
  1. Cream butter, powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and food coloring.
  2. Add milk one tablespoon at a time. Drizzle over the Peppermint Melt-A-Ways and then sprinkle with crushed candy.
